August 13-15th, 2018 Added Contact Page, Posted Summer 2018 Newsletter.

  • A page has been added listing how to contact the association and website. This page will be accessible to all persons and not restricted to registered users. This is to provide the information for business contact either by email or snail mail. As some people have questions or concerns and are in need of contacting us but have not registered or are having problems registering, we want this contact information to be available to everyone.

August 15, 2016 New photos submitted.

  • Remember marching in the Fiesta Day Parade? Well, on the PMA Gallery page are some pictures, circa 1948, of how PMA participated proudly in the Fiesta Days Celebrations with its own Dress Parade and Acrobatic Riding Exhibit. Submitted by Mr. Karl Sammons is a link to view the UTSA archives that house and provide a description of the dress parade. Here you can see some of the drill teams, Drum Corps, McKinnon Rifles, Zouaves who showed off their skills. Take note of the crack horsemanship riders who also performed. Yes, cadets, PMA had horses for many years. Last is a picture of King Antonio XXVI (Park Street) visiting with cadets following the dress parade, indicating the close relationship PMA always had with the city of San Antonio. Enjoy a piece of history.

August 6, 2016 New pages added to website.

  • The “News” web page was added to the website. Prior to August, new information was posted on the main page of the website. This method was used so that everyone would see the important information concerning the 2016 Reunion and have access to the materials in case they wanted to mail in their reservation. Because of the learning curve I am undergoing while I learn how WordPress functions, and the necessity of giving everyone the Reunion materials, I decided to post the links on the home page. Now that I have learned how to create additional web pages, I decided not to clutter the home page with information, rather to provide this News page where you can track any changes for which you are interested.
  • The “Reunions” web page was added. This page will contain information about past and future reunions. The links previously posted on the home  page have been transferred to this web page.

July 17, 2016 Newsletters and 2016 Reunion Materials links Posted:

  • The newsletter for Spring 2016 was posted on the Newsletter page.
  • Links for the 2016 Reunion materials were posted on the home page. Anyone needing to print the Reunion Letter, Registration form or Return Envelope can follow these links and obtain the desired material. The Registration form should be printed, filled out manually and returned to the PMA Alumni Association in order to register. The Reunion Letter contains information concerning accommodations, important dates, and events planned for the reunion.

April 5, 2016 New webmaster appointed.

Since its inception this website was created and maintained by Mr. Jim Norman. Gratefully we extend our many thanks to Jim for all his efforts to give the PMA Alumni Association a website where we can display some of the history and news about our beloved school and the association of Kadets and families that want to keep in touch. It is no small task that Jim took on. But woefully Jim has passed on and so a new webmaster was needed to maintain the website.

That job has been taken on by Robert (Bob) Birkenmeier ’67.  With a background in computer systems he is trying to learn about the website software, WordPress, so as to both maintain and enhance the website where needed or desired. Any help via suggestions or information that you think would enhance the experience provided by the website is greatly appreciated. You can reach the webmaster at this email address: Birk@PMAAlumni.org. Please do not hesitate to make submissions.
