The Peacock Military Academy Alumni Association believes that to prepare young men and women for adult responsibility and leadership, military training and discipline integrated with vigorous academic instruction will provide our country with alert, self-sufficient men and women who respect and can assume the obligations and duties of civil life. It was as cadets at Peacock, that we developed self-confidence and learned how to accept responsibility and how to “get-along with our fellow man.” Our aspiration is that the legacy of Peacock Military Academy and the Corps of Cadets will inspire new generations of young men and women to attend high schools that offer Junior R.O.T.C. or military-style leadership programs integrating military training and discipline and vigorous academic training, to produce students and graduates of sound character, personal integrity, and honor, and who go out into their communities fully prepared to assume the obligations and duties of citizens of this great country.

The Peacock Kadet Medal is awarded annually to high school students participating in Junior R.O.T.C or military leadership training programs at their school who, during their junior year, exemplified these traits:

Recipients are nominated by their respective schools. Currently, the following schools participate in the Peacock Medal Program:

To ensure timely delivery of medals for presentation to recipients, school administrators are requested to complete and send the online nomination form no later than 30 days in advance of the school’s awards ceremony.

Please provide the name of the cadet, a brief biographical history and state why the cadet was selected for this particular award.
